Wind Swept
Left alone to silently labor, breathe,
midst wonton despair and immutable time,
waiting, nay longing for what t’is distant relief
For things of the heart, things lost of mine.
Left idle for that unattainable morrow,
the solace we seek like the wind be;
unable to grasp yet soothing to sorrow.
chased b’cause felt, despite being unable to see.
Love unquestioned nor wand’ring doubt,
like a star on the horizon fixed;
absence of reason and origin without,
a constant reminder of the pain love inflicts.
Found by chance and bound by fate,
Two lives changed, two lives await.
